Cyrenians 19th annual sleepout

‘Sleepout’ consist of around 1,000 local school pupils, teachers, community groups and families spending the night sleeping in the arena or in the car park at AECC.  The aim of the event is to raise as much money as possible for the Cyrenians and to let people experience what it might be like to be homeless and have to sleep rough.  2010 will be the 19th year of the event and in that time close to £320,000 has been raised from Sleepout.  Community groups, families and schools from across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray attend the event each year. The event normally raises about £20,000.
