Eco-Congregation Scotland Award Workshop
Monday 22 February 2010 | 7.30pm
Eco-Congregation Awards are designed to recognise achievement and affirm good practice that promotes/contributes to sustainability and witnesses to the importance of caring for creation. Within the last year we have had many enquiries from churches about how to apply for awards. On top of this, we have received applications from churches seeking to achieve a third award. This has forced us to look at the award system again, set clear criteria for a third award and ensure the criteria for the first and second awards are compatible.
Over the winter period we have therefore been offering an Award Workshop to all networks. These workshops will have something to offer everyone, no matter what stage you are at with your eco-congregation work:
If you are only beginning to think about registering or have just done so – the workshop will explain why we have an award system and what to aim for.
If you have been registered for some time and are thinking about applying for an award, it will help you find out what you need to do to apply and how the award is assessed.
If you already have an award – find out what to do next - and could you help us by becoming an award assessor?
